Set up BambooHR

Connect your Gusto account to BambooHR and automatically sync your employee information.

Step 1. Link your Gusto account

  1. In your BambooHR account, click the Apps icon.
  2. Click Payroll.
  3. Hover over Gusto, and click Learn More.
  4. Click Install.
  5. Enter your Gusto login credentials.

Step 2. Sync locations and employees

  1. Match the location between BambooHR and Gusto.
  2. Click Sync Locations.
  3. View the number of employees that will sync between BambooHR and Gusto.
  4. Click Match Employees.
  5. Select which employee in BambooHR matches with which employees in Gusto.
    • Select an existing employee name: This will link the selected employees to one another.
    • Select Add as New Employee: This will create the employee record in that system.
  6. Click Continue.

Step 3. Fix missing data

If BambooHR sees location or employee data in Gusto that is missing in BambooHR, it'll ask you to Power Edit to add the details to BambooHR.

  1. Click Update Information.
  2. Update the details for each individual.
  3. Click Continue.
  4. Review the data ensure it's correct.
  5. Click Save.
