How can we help?

Integrate with dealr.cloud

Dealr.cloud is a cloud-based software solution that allows you to run your whole dealership from one system. Stop using separate systems for your website, inventory management, lead followup, and desking for deal closings. Dealr.cloud brings everything together into a single, cohesive, easy-to-use suite that you can use anywhere and on any device.

Gusto integrates with dealr.cloud to:

  • Sync payroll information from Gusto to dealr.cloud
    • Automatically generate accounting transactions
  • Pull commissions from dealer.cloud to Gusto payroll.

Customers who join Gusto from dealr.cloud will receive Gusto payroll free for their first 3 months

Set up the integration

  1. Sign in to dealr.cloud.
  2. Click the dropdown arrow next to Accounting.
  3. Click the Payroll tab.
  4. If you already use Gusto, click Connect Existing Gusto Account. If you’re new to Gusto, click Get Started.
    • If you clicked Get Started: next, click Create Account. Select which email address you’d like to use for Gusto and click Create with Email. Then, check your inbox for next steps from Gusto about setting up your account.
  5. Click Authorize.
    • Dealr.cloud will now pull in your payrolls from Gusto.
      • Keep in mind: it will not generate any accounting transactions for the payrolls that have already passed. If you need to do this, click the checkbox next to Generate in the “Accounting” column.
  6. From here, you can click into specific payrolls and choose if you’d like to Regenerate Accounting or View in Gusto for a detailed summary.

If you need to generate past accounting transactions to reconcile your bank statements, you can import them without first mapping employees or mapping accounts. Once the accounting transaction is generated, you can go back and regenerate the transaction(s) to show the correct mappings.

Map your chart of accounts

  1. In dealr.cloud, click the dropdown arrow next to Accounting.
  2. Click the Payroll tab.
  3. Toggle to the Account Mapping tab on the payroll page.
  4. Select an account for each payroll item to map to.
  5. Click Save.

For any past accounting transactions with unmapped accounts, regenerate the accounting transactions from the Payrolls tab.

Map your employees

  1. In dealr.cloud, click the dropdown arrow next to Accounting.
  2. Click the Payroll tab.
  3. Toggle to the Employee Mapping tab on the payroll page.
  4. Review your dealr.cloud users and Gusto employees. Map the employees to link them.
    •  If a full name or email is a match, the users will automatically be mapped.
  5. Click Save.

Add dealr.cloud employees to Gusto

If you’ve created a new user in dealr.cloud, and need to add them to Gusto:

  1. Click the dropdown arrow next to Manage.
  2. Click the Users tab.
  3. Click the name of the employee.
  4. Click the Create in Gusto button.

You’ll be redirected to Gusto to start the employee’s setup and the user will be automatically linked.

Integration settings

Dealr.cloud will automatically sync payroll information from Gusto every 6 hours. You can also sync that information manually by clicking the Sync Payroll button on the payroll page.

Head to the Settings tab of the payroll page to:

  • Update the bank account in use
  • Set the journal date for accounting transactions
  • Set up the automated generation of transactions.
  • Disconnect the integration

Sync commissions

For upcoming payroll runs, you may need to push commission totals to Gusto. To do so:

  1. In dealr.cloud, click the dropdown arrow next to Accounting.
  2. Click the Payroll tab.
  3. Click Sync Commissions.
    • Syncing commissions will override any preexisting commission amounts for the listed employees. For employees who have commission already entered in Gusto, but do not appear in the list, they will not be overridden.
  4. Click Sync.

To review, go to the Run Payroll section in Gusto. If commissions are updated in dealr.cloud, simply resync the commissions to replace any outdated amounts.
