Integrate with Empuls

Empuls (by Xoxoday) is an employee rewards and engagement solution helping organizations improve employee productivity, performance, and retention. With easy onboarding, predefined awards, and a wide range of redemption options, it makes managing the rewards program a breeze. 

Gusto integrates with Empuls to automatically create Empuls accounts when new employees are added to Gusto–after they’ve been added, their information will be kept up-to-date in Empuls if any changes occur in Gusto.

Customers who join Gusto from Empuls will receive Gusto payroll free for their first three months.

Connect to Gusto from Empuls

To connect the integration, you must be an administrator on both your Empuls and Gusto account.

  1. Sign in to Empuls.
  2. Click the dropdown arrow next to Platform Settings.
  3. Click Integrations.
  4. Under “HRMS Applications”, click Gusto.
    • If you’re not a Gusto user already, click the Click here link to learn more. You can also immediately start the signup process here.
  5. Click Start Setup.
  6. Click Proceed.
  7. If not already signed in to Gusto, enter your Gusto sign-in credentials and click Sign In.
    • In the following step, make sure to authorize only one Gusto account.
  8. Click Authorize.
    • Once connected, a popup will appear in Empuls to confirm the integration connection was successful. It’ll also let you know when the information sync will occur.
  9. Click Done.

Empuls Super Admins will receive notifications about the sync status daily.

The information sync between Gusto and Empuls

Employee information from Gusto will automatically sync to Empuls between 5 PM - 9 PM UTC. 

The sync will create new Empuls accounts for any new employees it detects in Gusto at the time of the sync. The following employee information syncs from Gusto to Empuls:

  • First name, middle initial, last name
  • Email
  • Manager
  • Department
  • Title
  • Hire bate and termination date (if applicable)
  • Date of birth
  • Phone number

You can temporarily or permanently stop the data sync using the disable option. To resume the data sync, click on enable to reconnect.
