Integrate with Valencia Data

Valencia Data helps scaling companies build a smarter financial infrastructure by enabling teams to make more informed, data-driven decisions. Services include:

  • Cash planning

Gusto integrates with Valencia Data to sync employee and compensation data directly from Gusto payrolls to Valencia's planning tools.

Customers who join Gusto from Valencia Data will receive Gusto free for their first 3 months.

Connect to Gusto from Valencia

  1. Sign in to Valencia Data.

  2. Click Connected Accounts on the left menu.

  3. Click Connect With Gusto.

  4. Click Authorize Integration in the pop-up window.

    • This will direct you to Gusto’s website. 

  5. Enter your Gusto sign-in credentials and click Sign In.

  6. Click Authorize.

    • You’ll be redirected back to Valencia’s Integrations page. 

If you’ve connected successfully, you’ll see Gusto listed as a linked account under the Connected Accounts screen.

Syncing information from Gusto to Valencia

The flow of information is one-way, from Gusto to Valencia—all changes to payroll or benefits information must be made in Gusto. For this reason, any information pushed from Gusto to Valencia will be read-only while you’re in your Valencia account. 

  • Auto-sync will only work for the payrolls moving forward from the time it is set up.
    • Valencia will auto-sync on a daily basis in the evening.
  • Updates to information must take place in Gusto first. 
    • If there are any updates to your Gusto data (such as a change to name, status, job/title, compensation, etc), Valencia will pull that in from the sync and notify you that the information needs updating in Valencia also. This will help ensure information matches in both platforms.

Check the status of a payroll sync

  1.  Sign in to Valencia.

  2. Click Connected Accounts.

  3. Click Gusto.  

  4. You should see:

    • Pay period date range

    • Last attempted sync date and time 

    • Last successful sync date and time

If there’s an issue with the payroll sync, you’ll see a notification on your Valencia dashboard and an error message under the Connected Accounts menu. Follow the instructions to resync your payroll.
