Change the primary payroll administrator for a client
If you’re the Firm Admin in Gusto, you can change the primary payroll administrator for clients right from your accountant profile.
If you’re not an accountant Firm Admin, but are currently the primary payroll administrator for your company, you can still assign another admin the role.

Navigate to the Firm directory section of your account.

Click the Clients tab.

Click Edit next to the client you’d like to change the primary payroll admin for.

Click Change primary admin next to the current member with that assigned role.

The primary admin is the only admin that is able to add and remove other admins.

When setting a new admin, all other admins will be automatically notified via email about this change.

Select a new primary admin from the list of members with access to this client.

Click Save.
