Integrate with Accelo

Accelo provides business operations software for professional services businesses and allows companies to run their entire service in the cloud.

Gusto integrates with Accelo to help streamline the administrative process by importing employee profiles from Gusto to Accelo and by surfacing PTO requests in Accelo’s calendar.

Customers who join Gusto from Accelo will receive Gusto free for their first 3 months.

Connect to Gusto from Accelo

  1. Sign in to Accelo.
  2. Hover over your user profile icon in the top-right hand corner.
  3. Click Integrations.
  4. Click Gusto under “People Integrations”.
  5. Click Connect your Gusto account.
  6. Sign in with your Gusto credentials.
  7. Click Authorize.

Map people from Gusto to Accelo

Employees must be mapped to Accelo before PTO request information will sync.

To map an employee from Gusto to Accelo:

  1. Sign in to Accelo.
  2. Hover over your user profile icon in the top-right hand corner.
  3. Click Integrations.
  4. Click Gusto under “People Integrations”.
  5. Click the blue Map Users button on the right-hand side of the screen.
  6. All active Gusto Users will be automatically selected to map.
    • If you don’t want to map a user, unselect the checkbox. You won’t be able to sync any PTO information while a user is not mapped.
  7. Match Gusto names to the corresponding Accelo user.
    • If they don’t have an Accelo account yet, click Create new user to instantly create one.
  8. Click Map Selected Users.

You can now sync an employee’s PTO information from Gusto to your Accelo calendar.

  • Accelo recommends incorporating Mapping Users during the new staff onboarding process.

Automatically sync PTO requests from Gusto to Accelo

The PTO Accelo integration is available to customers on the Complete and Concierge plan - you can upgrade your plan at anytime.

Accelo will sync PTO and sick time requests for the next 90 days and past seven days. To add requests outside of that range, you can manually sync requests - scroll below for more information.

  1. Sign in to Accelo.
  2. Hover over your user profile icon in the top-right hand corner.
  3. Click Integrations.
  4. Click Gusto under “People Integrations”.
  5. Under “Event Types,” select whether you’d like to:
    • Sync all submitted and Approved PTO
      • This is Accelo's recommended setting - it presents a more accurate picture of your team's expected future availability and can be helpful when determining whether to grant a time off request.
      • Time off requests will be synced with Accelo as soon as they're created in Gusto.
    • Sync only Approved PTO
      • This setting is useful when trying to keep your Accelo calendar clear - usually used when you have a large volume of time-off requests being made frequently.
      • Only time off requests that have been approved will be synced with Accelo.

The sync will begin automatically once the settings have been chosen - and continue to sync every 15 minutes to provide the most up to date PTO status in Accelo.

You can now view PTO requests in Accelo on your company-wide holiday calendar and individual's vacation calendars. Hover over the event to see to see:

  • PTO Status
  • Pending or approved
  • Approver name
  • Vacation dates

Manually sync PTO requests from Gusto to Accelo

Use the manual sync to enter historical PTO requests or those further than 90 days out.

  1. Sign in to Accelo.
  2. Hover over your user profile icon in the top-right hand corner.
  3. Click Integrations.
  4. Click Gusto under “People Integrations”.
  5. Select the date range for import.
  6. Click Start Manual Import.

You can now view the PTO requests in Accelo on your company-wide holiday calendar or individual's vacation calendars.

Revoke Accelo's Access

  1. Sign in to Gusto.
  2. Click the Settings tab.
  3. Click the Integrations tab.
  4. Click Revoke access next to the Accelo integration.
  5. Confirm you'd like to revoke Accelo's Access.
