You can add and refer clients from your Gusto Partner dashboard. Click the dropdowns below to learn more.
Adding a client to your dashboard gives you full access to your client's payroll account, including the ability to run payroll and view reports.
What's next? Click Set Up Company to start setting up your client's Gusto account yourself, or add another admin to invite a different user that will complete the setup.
If you're an administrative user or admin on the client's Gusto account, the client will automatically show up on your Partner Dashboard.
If your client is missing from your Partner Dashboard, have the primary administrator for that client add you as a payroll administrator and enter the email address associated with your Gusto accountant account. Once you're added, this client will automatically show up in your Partner Dashboard.
Note: If you do not create the account from your Partner Dashboard, it will not be eligible for the partner discount.
We'll send the referred client an invitation to set up their Gusto account. Check the Referred Clients section to view the status of your referrals.
Note: When referred through the partner dashboard, only partners will receive the referral bonus, the client will not. Additionally, you won't have access to the company unless the company specifically grants it to you. The company will not appear on your dashboard as a managed client, it will only appear as a referral.
Gusto Partners (accountants) who refer a non-client company can receive a $100 Visa virtual gift card, and the referred business receives a $100 Visa virtual gift card too.
This type of referral does not give you administrative access to the company’s payroll or reports. If you’d like administrative access, add a new client or an existing client from your Dashboard.
Refer a business that is not a client
Once the referred business signs up and pays their first invoice, you and the referred business will earn a $100 Visa virtual gift card. You'll see the referred business’ referral status at the bottom of the Refer & earn section.
Keep in mind: Payouts are issued 30 days after any free trial period has expired, and the company has paid their first Gusto invoice.
If you need to remove a company from the firm dashboard, you'll need to reach out to the primary administrator at the company themselves and ask that they remove you as a payroll administrator.
