Domestic contractor email notifications

Domestic contractors receive automated email notifications from Gusto—click below to learn more. If you're an international contractor, you'll only get payday emails from Gusto on the pay date.

For now, contractors cannot disable their email notifications.

Email notifications to domestic contractors (some, but not all)

When your email address is added for Gusto access.
When your email or password is updated.
When you're paid through direct deposit.
When your 1099 is available at year end.

Hide the dollar amount on a payday email

Sign in to your employee profile.
- Employees must update this setting in their personal profile—admins cannot update this from the employee's profile on their behalf.
Click your profile name that appears in the upper-right corner.
Select Account preferences.
Next to Private Payday Email, click edit.
Click Enabled.
Click Save.
