Seasonal businesses are usually only active at certain times throughout the year. Gusto does not currently support seasonal businesses because they require special filing information that we do not collect at this time.
Important: If your benefits are managed by Gusto, and you choose to suspend your Gusto account because you're a seasonal employer, benefits will also be terminated with your insurance carriers.
Employees who are not being paid for an extended period of time can be dismissed and rehired.
If you do not want to dismiss employees or suspend your account, you can keep your account active and skip payrolls in your off season.
