If you need to amend a return outside of Gusto, follow the steps in the first dropdown below.
If you're hoping Gusto can help amend a filing, we can only submit an amended filing if:
- The original quarterly/state filing was filed by Gusto and accepted by the agency, and;
- Example: If you joined Gusto in Q2 2023 and need to make an adjustment for Q1 2023, we can adjust the totals on the 2023 annual tax forms, but we cannot amend your Q1 2023 quarterly filings as Gusto did not submit the original filing.
- The amendment is for a quarter within the last eight quarters, or eight quarters from when you originally made the request—whichever is earlier.
- Example: If it's Q1 2024, we'll only complete amendment requests for quarters between the Q1 2022 and Q1 2024 timeframe.
