Understand suspended payroll contributions

If you see a 401(k) contribution marked as "suspended" in your account, it means we were not able to collect the funds from your employer. This article explains why this happens and what to expect while the issue is resolved.

If Gusto Retirement is unable to collect 401(k) contributions from your employer, any associated transaction will show as "suspended" in your account. This means the money has not yet been deposited into your Gusto 401(k).

When this happens, we will work with your employer to fix the issue as quickly as possible.
