Gusto integrates with Puzzle Financial to sync employee and compensation data directly from Gusto payrolls to Puzzle Financial's planning tools.
Customers who join Gusto from Puzzle Financial will receive Gusto free for their first 3 months.
Connect to Gusto from Puzzle Financial
- Sign in to Puzzle Financial.
- Click Connected Accounts on the left menu.
- Click Connect With Gusto.
- Click Authorize Integration in the pop-up window.
- This will direct you to Gusto’s website.
- Enter your Gusto sign-in credentials and click Sign In.
- Click Authorize.
- You’ll be redirected back to Puzzle Financial’s Integrations page.
If you’ve connected successfully, you’ll see Gusto listed as a linked account under the Connected Accounts screen.
Syncing information from Gusto to Puzzle Financial
The flow of information is one-way, from Gusto to Puzzle Financial—all changes to payroll or benefits information must be made in Gusto. For this reason, any information pushed from Gusto to Puzzle Financial will be read-only while you’re in your Puzzle Financial account.
- Auto-sync will only work for the payrolls moving forward from the time it is set up.
- Puzzle Financial will auto-sync on a daily basis in the evening.
- Updates to information must take place in Gusto first.
- If there are any updates to your Gusto data (such as a change to name, status, job/title, compensation, etc), Puzzle Financial will pull that in from the sync and notify you that the information needs updating in Puzzle Financial also. This will help make sure information matches in both platforms.
Check the status of a payroll sync
- Sign in to Puzzle Financial.
- Click Connected Accounts.
- Click Gusto.
- You should see:
- Pay period date range
- Last attempted sync date and time
- Last successful sync date and time
If there’s an issue with the payroll sync, you’ll see a notification on your Puzzle Financial dashboard and an error message under the Connected Accounts menu. Follow the instructions to resync your payroll.
