To make sure all W-2s include accurate year-to-date information, you'll need to report any payrolls processed outside of Gusto for both dismissed and current employees.
This process starts by adding previously dismissed employees that are not currently listed in Gusto to your account. To do this:
Go to the Run Payroll section of your account to report any (and all) missing payrolls that need to be added for the once dismissed employee.
If you go through these steps and receive the error message "SSN already in use," it means the employee is already added into the system. Head to the People section and select Team members, then click Show dismissed people to find the employee's profile.
