What to know before you start:
- Permissions: You must be an admin in Gusto to set up the connection.

Hypersync: The name of Hyperproof’s automated proof collection feature.
- What you can set up a Hypersync for: You can set up as many Hypersyncs as you need for both controls and labels. You can also create many Hypersyncs for a single control or label.
- The two types of proof you can collect: The list of employees and the list of employees with a change in employment status.
- Automation options: You can choose whether you want syncs to run automatically or only when you initiate a manual sync.
Set up a Hypersync for a control
Follow these steps to collect proof from Gusto for a Hyperproof control.

Sign in to Hyperproof.
- In the left navigation menu, click Programs.
- Select your program.
- Go to the Controls tab.
- Select the control that you want to automate proof for.
- Go to the Automations tab.
- Click Create Hypersync.
- Choose Gusto.
- Enter your Gusto admin credentials and click Sign in.
- Click Authorize.
- In the dropdown menu, choose the type of proof you want Gusto to sync to this control.
- Depending on the type of proof you want to collect, more dropdowns may appear. If prompted, select your preference for each additional dropdown.
- Click Next.
- The checkbox next to “Collect proof automatically” is selected by default. Clear the checkbox if you don't want Hyperproof to automatically collect proof.
- You can run a manual sync anytime you like by following the steps in the “Run a manual sync” section of this article.
- If you opted for syncs to run automatically: under “Collect Proof Every,” select how often you want proof to be collected from Gusto.
- Under “Add Proof Using,” select how you want proof to be stored in Hyperproof with each sync:

Versioning: Synced proof from Gusto will be saved as a new version of an existing file each time.

New files: Synced proof from Gusto will be saved as a new file each time.
- Under “Proof format,” choose whether you want Hyperproof to save files as PDFs or Excel spreadsheets.
- Click Next.
- Enter a name for this control’s Hypersync.
- Click Save and Sync.
In the “Automations” tab for this control, your new Hypersync and its settings are listed under “Hypersyncs.” Synced proof is stored under the control's “Proof” tab. You can repeat these steps and set up multiple Hypersyncs for as many controls and labels as you like.
Set up a Hypersync for a label
Follow these steps to collect proof from Gusto for a Hyperproof label.

Sign in to Hyperproof.
- In the left navigation menu, click Programs.
- Select your program.
- Go to the Labels tab.
- Select the label that you want to automate proof for.
- Go to the Automations tab.
- Click Create Hypersync.
- Choose Gusto.
- Enter your Gusto admin credentials and click Sign in.
- Click Authorize.
- In the dropdown menu, choose the type of proof you want Gusto to sync to this label.
- Depending on the type of proof you want to collect, more dropdowns may appear. If prompted, select your preference for each additional dropdown.
- Click Next.
