ZarMoney is a cloud accounting platform that offers invoicing, billing, income and expense tracking, financial reporting, inventory management and more.
Gusto integrates with ZarMoney to help streamline the accounting process by pushing payroll data to ZarMoney.
Customers who join Gusto from ZarMoney will receive Gusto payroll free for their first 3 months.
Set up the integration

Sign in to ZarMoney.
- Click the Company tab.
- Select Payroll & HR.
- Select ZarMoney + Gusto.
- If you’re already a Gusto user, click Login to Gusto. If you’re new to Gusto, click Get Started.
- If you clicked Get Started: confirm which email you’d like to use for your Gusto account and then check your inbox for next steps from Gusto.
- Enter your Gusto sign-in credentials and click Sign In.
- If you’re already signed in, you won’t see this step.
- Select which company(ies) you’d like to authorize, and click Authorize.
- If you have multiple companies, you’ll be asked which company to sign in to ZarMoney with.
- Map your accounts on the “Account Mapping” page.
- Make sure each category on the left is mapped to a financial account on the right. You can add new accounts from the dropdown or by following these instructions.

Important: “Do not import the check amounts” category: leave this option unchecked if there are no checks to print.
- In the future, whenever paper checks are printed to pay your employees you’ll want to check this box.
- If you print paper checks in Gusto and import the journal entry from ZarMoney you’ll create a discrepancy in your accounting.
- Click Continue.
Sync payrolls from Gusto to ZarMoney
Once you’ve signed in and completed the account mappings (detailed above), you’ll be taken to the “Payrolls available” page. Here, you can:
- Start to run payroll in Gusto
- Click the Run Payroll button in the top-left of the page.
- Import payrolls and view journal entries
- Click the Import button. Once imported, you can see payroll summaries by clicking on the specific payroll.
- In the summary, click the View Journal Entry button in the top-right corner to review the accounting transaction. You can always undo the import by deleting the journal entry using the trash can icon.
- Dismiss payrolls
- Click the Dismiss button.
- Use the "Actions" menu in the top-right to:
- Go back to Account Mappings
- Hide dismissed transactions
- Disconnect Gusto
