Integrate with VIVAHR

VIVAHR is an applicant tracking system that makes it easy to post jobs, manage candidates, and collaborate with team members while sourcing and hiring.

With the Gusto and VIVAHR integration, you can quickly send new hires’ info (full name and email address) from VIVAHR to Gusto in just a few clicks.

Customers who join Gusto from VIVAHR will receive Gusto payroll free for their first 3 months.

Connect to Gusto from VIVAHR

  1. Sign in to VIVAHR.
  2. In the left-hand menu, click Settings
  3. Under “Company,” click Integrations.
  4. Choose the Gusto tile.
  5. If your company already has a Gusto account, click Connect your Gusto Account.
    • If you’re new to Gusto, click Create an account here. Fill out your info, set up your company's account, then return to this article to finish connecting your VIVAHR account.
  6. Enter your Gusto admin credentials and click Sign In.
  7. Select which Gusto business(es) you authorize VIVHR to access.
  8. Click Authorize.

Your company’s Gusto and VIVAHR accounts are now connected. In Gusto, you can access the VIVAHR integration and its settings from the App directory section of your admin account. 

The next time you hire someone in VIVAHR, you can follow the steps below to quickly send their info to Gusto and start onboarding them to payroll. 

Sync new hire information to Gusto

When you hire someone in VIVAHR, follow the steps below to quickly send their info (full name and email address) to Gusto so you can start onboarding them to payroll. 

  1. Sign in to VIVAHR
  2. Head to the Candidates tab.
  3. Choose the name of the person you want to add to Gusto. 
  4. Next to the green “Share” button, click the three-dot icon
  5. Click Send to Gusto.
  6. Review the candidate’s info (you can edit anything if necessary). 
  7. Click Send

Once the sync is complete, finish onboarding the new hire in Gusto: head to the People section, choose Hire & onboard, and look under “New people.” Click their name to finish filling out their information and start their onboarding checklist.

Troubleshoot syncing issues

VIVAHR isn’t sending the candidate’s information to Gusto. 

On the candidate’s page in VIVAHR, try refreshing the page to see if their profile still has a “sent to Gusto” banner.  If their profile has the banner and the candidate still isn’t showing up in Gusto, reach out to [email protected] for assistance. If there’s no “sent to Gusto banner,” click the three dots icon and try sending their info to Gusto again. 

I entered the wrong information about my new hire when transferring them from VIVAHR to Gusto. 

Simply edit the employee’s info from your Gusto admin account.

Disconnect the Gusto and VIVAHR integration

  1. Sign in to VIVAHR
  2. In the left-hand menu, click Settings
  3. Under “Company,” click Integrations.
  4. Choose the Gusto tile.
  5. Click Disconnect your Gusto account

VIVAHR will no longer be able to access your company’s Gusto account or send new hire info to Gusto.
