Integrate with Relay Financial

Relay is a no-fee online banking platform designed to help small businesses more efficiently manage operating expenses and get deeper visibility into cash flow. Businesses get robust banking features without monthly fees, minimum balance requirements, in-person branch visits, or paperwork. 

With the Gusto and Relay integration, you have access to:

Connect to Gusto from Relay

Customers who join Gusto from Relay will receive Gusto payroll free for their first 3 months.

  1. Sign in to your Relay admin account.
  2. Go to the Settings section.
  3. Choose the Integrations tab.
  4. Scroll to the “Payroll” section. Next to Gusto, click Connect.
  5. Click Login to Gusto.
    • If you’re new to Gusto: click Create a Gusto account, enter some basic info, then complete your onboarding in Gusto. Then return to Step 1 to finish setting up the integration with Relay. 
  6. Click Continue to Gusto.
  7. Enter your Gusto admin credentials and click Sign in
  8. Select the business(es) you’ll be connecting to Relay and click Authorize.
    • If you have multiple companies to connect: in this step select all the accounts that you’ll be connecting to Relay. Complete the setup steps for the first account, then sign in to each of your Relay accounts and repeat these steps to connect each to Gusto. 
  9. You’ll be redirected to Relay. Choose the Gusto company you're connecting to your Relay account. 
  10. Click Save

Once you click save, your company’s Gusto and Relay accounts are connected. In order for transaction data to sync to Gusto, make sure you’ve designated Relay as the bank you use for payroll. Employee and transaction data sync daily. If you want data to update sooner than the daily sync, you can run a manual sync anytime with the steps in the "Sync employee and payroll data" accordion below.
