Employee info that syncs from Gusto to 15Five:
First name (their chosen first name is used if set up in Gusto)
Last name
Job title
Work address
Manager
All Gusto customers can access the 15Five integration. The account provisioning feature is available to Plus and Premium plan customers.
Go to Settings.
Click Features.
Click Integrations.
Find the "Public API" row and click Enable or Manage.
Select Create new key.
Name your API Key.
Do not select “Limit access to High Fives only.”
Click Save.
Copy the API key so you can add it in Gusto – save it somewhere safe in the meantime.
Before you connect your accounts with the steps below, we recommend that you make sure each of your employees has a work email listed in Gusto. This will prevent their personal email addresses from syncing to 15Five.
Go to the App directory.
Under “Categories,” click Performance.
Choose 15Five.
Click Connect.
Click Existing 15Five account if you’re already a 15Five user.
If you’re not, click No 15Five account yet.
Click Continue.
If you’re creating a new account, you’ll be redirected to 15Five for setup.
Paste your API key from 15Five into the modal.
Click Continue to setup.
Indicate whether everyone on your 15Five account is paid through Gusto.
Click Save and continue.
Match each employee’s Gusto and 15Five accounts by clicking Select an option next to their name.
Add as a new employee creates a new Gusto profile for the employee and lets you add them to payroll.
Don’t match in Gusto excludes that person from the integration. Their 15Five access and data won’t be affected.
Match with existing Gusto account lets you select the Gusto profile to match with their 15Five account.
Click Match accounts.
Your 15Five and Gusto accounts are now connected. You can view integration details in the About tab of the integration in Gusto. Employee data will sync from Gusto to 15Five nightly.
Once you set up the 15Five integration, Plus and Premium plan can start provisioning 15Five accounts for new hires from Gusto.
First, add the employee or contractor to Gusto.
Go to the People section.
Click the new team member's name to go to their profile.
Choose their Apps section.
Go to "Create [employee’s name] software accounts" and click Start.
Review the existing apps connected to your account and select Save & continue.
Check the box for 15Five.
Click Save & continue.
Review the summary page and click Create accounts.
Your new employee will receive a welcome email to join 15Five on their hire date. If their hire date is in the past, the welcome email is sent immediately.
There are a few ways you can remove an employee's access or change how their data syncs between Gusto and 15Five.
You can remove an employee's access to their 15Five account at the same time you dismiss an employee in Gusto. Their 15Five account access will be removed at midnight on their dismissal date, or immediately if the dismissal date is backdated.
If you're not dismissing the employee but you want to remove their access to 15Five, follow these steps.
Go to the App directory.
Click Connected apps.
Select 15Five.
Next to the employee's name, click the three-dot Actions icon.
Click Remove account.
Review and click Remove.
The employee’s 15Five account access is now removed.
Unmatching only disables the syncing of an employee's data between 15Five and Gusto. Their access to 15Five is not changed.
Go to the App directory.
Click Connected apps.
Select 15Five.
Under the “Accounts” tab, find the name of the employee you want to unmatch.
In the “Action” column, click the three-dots icon for that employee.
Click Unmatch account.
The employee’s data will no longer sync between 15Five and Gusto.
