Breezy HR is an end-to-end recruiting software that can help you attract and hire great employees with less effort.
Once you mark a candidate as “Hired” in Breezy, you can sync their information to Gusto to begin their new hire onboarding.
New hire info that Breezy sends to Gusto:
- First name
- Last name
- Email address
Connect to Gusto from Breezy
To enable the integration, you must be an admin in both Breezy and Gusto.
- Sign in to your Breezy account.
- In the left sidebar, click the gear icon.
- Hover over “Recruiting Preferences” and click Integrations.
- Scroll to “Employee Management (HRIS).”
- Scroll to the Gusto tile and click Settings.
- If you’re already a Gusto user, click Sign in.
- If you’re new to Gusto: click Create, enter some basic info, then complete your onboarding in Gusto.
- Enter your Gusto credentials and click Sign in.
- Select the company you’d like to authorize and click Authorize.
Anytime you create a new position in Breezy, you’ll be prompted to select which Gusto company to associate with that position.
Link existing positions (jobs) to Gusto
To link existing open positions to Gusto, follow these steps in Breezy:
- In the left sidebar, click Positions/Pools.
- Click the name of the position that you want to link to Gusto.
- In the top-right corner, click the gear icon.
- Scroll to “Gusto Company Name” and click Company Name.
- Select the correct company from the dropdown.
Next, you can customize whether you want to manually sync new hire info to Gusto, or if you want Breezy to automatically sync new hire info to Gusto once they reach a certain stage of the hiring process.
Manually sync new hire info to Gusto
For new hires that are not yet synced to Gusto, follow these steps:

Open the candidate's profile in Breezy.
- In the top-right corner, click Add to Gusto.
The candidate will be added to the People section in Gusto. In Breezy, you’ll see “Gusto” in the candidate’s details section under “Added to.”
Automatically sync new hire info to Gusto
If you want candidates’ info to automatically sync to Gusto once they reach a certain hiring stage, set up "Stage Actions" in Breezy.
- In the left sidebar, click Positions/Pools.
- Click the name of the position that you want to set the Stage Action for.
- Click the settings menu (three dots) for the stage where you want to set the action.
- Click Edit Stage Actions in the dropdown.
- Click the dropdown for “Available Stage Actions” and select Add to Gusto.
Now, any candidate that reaches that stage will automatically be added to your Gusto account.
