Review and accept your international employment agreement (as an international employee)

Once an admin has added you as an international employee in Gusto, before you can be paid, you’ll need to review and accept the employment agreement, and then complete your onboarding in Remote.

We recommend starting as soon as possible, so your start date does not get pushed back.

On paydays, you’ll receive an email from Remote letting you know you'll be paid by the end of the day.

After an admin adds you as an international employee in Gusto, you’ll get an email with next steps:

In Gusto, you’ll review and accept your employment details.
Our partner Remote will invite you to create an account and finish onboarding with them.
Remote will finalize your employment agreement and set up your benefits and payroll.

Click Review employment details in the welcome email you received from Gusto.
Choose your password, re-enter it, and click Set my password.
Select a method for 2-step verification, and set it up.
Once complete, click Go to your homepage.
Under the “Things to do” section, click the Review the employment details link.
Read through the details of the agreement thoroughly.
- Heads up: These details are difficult to update after they’re accepted. Double-check to make sure all information is up-to-date and correct before accepting.
If everything looks good, scroll to the bottom and select the check to certify the employment details are correct and agreed upon between you and your employer.
- Click Request changes if you think something should be different. If you request a change:
  - We’ll email the company, telling them to reach out to you to discuss the details.
  - You won’t be able to accept the current version of the employment agreement, a new one will need to be sent.
Click Accept employment details.
Once you’ve accepted the employment details, our partner Remote will invite you to create an account with them to finish onboarding and review details—all employment details will be available in your Remote account.

If you need to edit, or cancel a request, do so in Remote.

Your employer will receive a notification of the time off request, and can approve or reject it.

Your employer will receive a notification of the expense request, and can approve or reject it.
