Integrate with Breezy Perform

Breezy Perform is a performance management system that helps improve engagement and performance across your whole company. With Perform, your teams can create and track goals, stay connected with feedback tools and recurring 1:1s, and pull it all together with formal review cycles.

With the Gusto and Perform integration, employee info syncs automatically from Gusto to Breezy Perform, so you only have to make updates in one place. Contractor data does not sync. 

Employee data that syncs:

Customers who join Gusto from Breezy Perform will receive Gusto payroll free for their first 3 months.

Connect to Gusto from Breezy Perform

The integration is available to customers on any Gusto and Breezy Perform plan. You must be an admin in both platforms to set up the integration.  

Before you start: Employees must have a work email address listed in Gusto for their data to sync to Breezy Perform. You can run a custom report to check for email addresses and add emails via employee profiles.

  1. Sign in to Breezy Perform.
  2. In the left sidebar, click the gear icon.
  3. Choose Company Settings.
  4. On the left side of your page, click Integrations.
  5. Find the Gusto tile and click Connect.
  6. Choose Connect Existing Account.
    • If you do not already have a Gusto account, click Sign up for Gusto and create an account. Then return to Perform to finish integrating your accounts.
  7. Enter your Gusto admin credentials and click Sign In.
  8. Click Authorize.

Once the integration is connected, you can find your synced employee data in Perform: Under the Company Settings section, go to Employees. Employees must have a work email address in Gusto to be synced to Perform.

Whenever you need to update any employee info that’s included in the sync, make the update in Gusto. It will sync to Breezy Perform within 24 hours. 

Sync employee info from Gusto to Perform

Employee data automatically syncs from Gusto to Breezy Perform every 24 hours. The date and time of the last sync run is displayed in the Integrations section of your Breezy Perform account.

Run a manual data sync

If you want employee info to be updated in Perform sooner than the next automatic sync, you can run a manual sync at any time:

  1. Sign in to Breezy Perform.
  2. In the left sidebar, click the gear icon.
  3. Choose Company Settings.
  4. On the left side of your page, click Integrations.
  5. Find the Gusto tile and click Sync Now.
Troubleshoot syncing issues

Error message: Perform could not connect to Gusto

If you receive an error message or an email that Perform could not connect to Gusto, follow these steps to reset the connection:

  1. Sign in to Breezy Perform.
  2. In the left sidebar, click the gear icon.
  3. Choose Company Settings.
  4. On the left side of your page, click Integrations.
  5. Find the Gusto tile and click Disconnect.
  6. Click Connect Existing Account.
  7. Enter your Gusto account credentials and click Sign In.
  8. Click Authorize to connect your Perform and Gusto accounts.

Failed sync 

An employee must have a work email address listed in their Gusto profile in order for their info to sync to Perform. If a sync fails, here’s how to troubleshoot:

  1. Sign in to your Gusto admin account.
  2. Review your employees’ profiles or run a custom report to check for missing work email addresses.
  3. If needed, add work email addresses to employee profiles. 
  4. Return to the Integrations section of your Perform account and run a manual sync.
Disconnect the integration

Follow these steps if you no longer want employee data to sync from Gusto to Breezy Perform.

  1. Sign in to Breezy Perform.
  2. In the left sidebar, click the gear icon.
  3. Choose Company Settings.
  4. On the left side of your page, click Integrations.
  5. Find the Gusto tile and click Disconnect.

Employee info will no longer sync from Gusto to Breezy Perform. Any previously synced data is not lost. You can reconnect the integration at any time by repeating the connection steps above.
