Manage your personal account settings (as an admin)

Global and limited admins can update information in their Gusto profile.

Change your email
  1. Sign in to your admin profile in Gusto.
  2. Go to Settings
  3. Under "Personal", make sure My profile is selected.
  4. Find the "Account" section.
  5. Next to "Email" click Change.
  6. Enter the current password you use to sign in to Gusto. 
  7. Enter your new email. 
  8. Click Save.
Change your password
  1. Sign in to your admin profile in Gusto.
  2. Go to Settings
  3. Under "Personal", make sure My profile is selected.
  4. Find the "Account" section.
  5. Next to "Password" click Change.
  6. Enter the current password you use to sign in to Gusto. 
  7. Enter your new password.
    • Use at least 8 characters. Do not use a password from another site, and do not include any personal information such as your name or date of birth. 
  8. Confirm the new password again,
  9. Click Save.

  3. Under "Personal", make sure My profile is selected.

Change your Social Security Number (SSN)

Change your Social Security Number (SSN)

  1. Sign in to your admin profile in Gusto.
  2. Go to Settings
  3. Under "Personal", make sure My profile is selected.
  4. Find the "Personal Information" section and click Edit.
  5. Update any details, and click Save
Change your birthday 
  1. Sign in to your admin profile in Gusto.
  2. Go to Settings
  3. Under "Personal", make sure My profile is selected.
  4. Find the "Personal Information" section and click Edit.
  5. Update any details, and click Save
Change your phone number
  1. Sign in to your admin profile in Gusto.
  2. Go to Settings
  3. Under "Personal", make sure My profile is selected.
  4. Find the "Personal Information" section and click Edit.
  5. Update any details, and click Save
View recent account activity or your trusted devices
  1. Sign in to your admin profile in Gusto.
  2. Go to Settings
  3. Under "Personal", make sure My profile is selected.
  4. Find the "Recent account activity" or "Trusted devices" sections and review. 
Contact your primary admin to update name

Collaborators outside of Gusto (who are not paid team members) may not be able to update their own name in Gusto. If you do not have the option to update your name in your profile (where all other settings are), reach out to the primary admin on the account. They'll need to remove current access, and set up a new admin-profile with the corrected name.
