All access and Custom admins can update information, like email, password, phone number, and more, right from their Gusto profile.
To change your email:
At the top-right of the page, next to your name, click the dropdown and select Settings.
Under Personal, make sure My profile is selected.
Under Account, next to your email, click Change.
Enter the current password you use to sign in to Gusto.
Enter your new email.
Click Save.
To change your password:
At the top-right of the page, next to your name, click the dropdown and select Settings.
Under Personal, make sure My profile is selected.
Under Account, next to password, click Change.
Enter the current password you use to sign in to Gusto.
Enter your new password. Use at least 8 characters. Do not use a password from another site, and do not include any personal information such as your name or date of birth.
Confirm your new password.
Click Save.
To change your Social Security Number (SSN):
At the top-right of the page, next to your name, click the dropdown and select Settings.
Under Personal, make sure My profile is selected.
Under Personal Information, click Edit.
Update your SSN.
Click Save.
To change your birthday:
At the top-right of the page, next to your name, click the dropdown and select Settings.
Under Personal, make sure My profile is selected.
Under Personal Information, click Edit.
Update your birthday.
Click Save.
To change your phone number:
At the top-right of the page, next to your name, click the dropdown and select Settings.
Under Personal, make sure My profile is selected.
Under Personal Information, click Edit.
Update your phone number.
Click Save.
To view your account activity or trusted devices:
At the top-right of the page, next to your name, click the dropdown and select Settings.
Under Personal, make sure My profile is selected.
Under Recent account activity or Trusted devices, review your recent activity and devices.
Collaborators outside of Gusto (who are not paid team members) may not be able to update their own name in Gusto. If you do not have the option to update your name in your profile (where all other settings are), reach out to your primary admin. They'll need to remove your current access and set up a new admin profile with your updated name.
If the current Account owner (Primary admin) is available, it's quickest to have them reassign the Primary admin role to you.
If the current primary admin is no longer available or reachable, you can request to make yourself the new Primary admin in Gusto (with supporting documentation).
