Compensation benchmarking uses Gusto's payroll data to help you gage fair pay for employees. You can filter the data by job title, seniority, location, industry, and company size.
The results show pay ranges at different levels (or percentiles) so you can use, or share the compensation recommendations as needed.
Tips for using the compensation benchmarking tool
-
Location: The "labor market" filter means location. If you're unsure which one to pick, check the labor market guide linked in the tool.
-
"Curated" vs. "All other jobs":
- Curated jobs are vetted by our team.
- If you cannot find a relevant job title in "curated," try "all other jobs."
- "All other jobs" come directly from customer input. If you can’t find a job in "curated," try "all other jobs."
-
"No exact match found": If you see this message, try removing filters, adding more job titles, or including more industries.
