Get started with Invoicing

Set up invoicing

Invoicing can be set up by a Global or Primary Admin in Gusto. Here’s how:

  1. Sign in to your Gusto admin account.
  2. Go to the Finances tab.
  3. Choose Invoicing.
  4. Follow the prompts that appear to set up invoicing.

Create and send invoices

You can now create and send invoices directly from Gusto. When building an invoice, you’ll have the flexibility to customize payment methods, update your company details, adjust invoice settings, and more.

We’re excited to offer invoicing access at no additional cost to all Gusto customers.

Transaction-based fees

While invoicing is free to access across all plans, transaction-based fees will apply for payments processed through the platform.

For any questions or issues about Invoicing, contact Melio from within your Gusto account by following the steps below.

Chat

Global and Primary admins can access Melio chat from their Gusto account:

  1. In Gusto, go to the Finances tab.
  2. Select Invoices.
  3. Click the gear icon to go to settings.
  4. Go to the Support tab.
  5. Under the "Contact us" section, select Start a chat.

A specialist will respond within 90 seconds.

Email

Global and Primary admins can create an email case from their Gusto account:

  1. In Gusto, go to the Finances tab.
  2. Select Invoices.
  3. Click the gear icon to go to settings.
  4. Go to the Support tab.
  5. Under the "Contact us" section, follow the hyperlink to navigate to the Melio Help Center.
  6. In the top-right corner, click Submit a Question.
  7. Fill in the required information and click Submit.
    • Make sure to enter the same email address that’s associated with your Gusto account.

A specialist will respond to your email within 12 business hours.
