How can we help?

Gusto benefits dashboard

Company Contribution: The amount that you've committed to contributing toward your employees’ premium costs. This is an arrangement made at the time of enrollment, which you can change once your policy is up for renewal. Learn more in our Help Center article on contribution strategies.

Policy Name / Carrier: This column indicates the name of each policy you've offered in your benefits package for the year with the corresponding carrier listed below.

Effective Dates: Your coverage applies to all enrolled employees during this time-frame.  Treatment received outside of these dates will not be covered by this policy.

New Hire Waiting Period: The amount of time that a new hire needs to be employed before they're eligible for health benefits. This is established when you first set up health insurance and can be changed during your group's renewal. Common examples of a waiting period:

  • First day of the month after hire date.
  • First day of the month after 30 days of hire date.
  • No waiting period; full time employees eligible on hire date.
  • Employees Enrolled: A quick look at how many employees you have enrolled in benefits and how many employees are enrolled in each plan that you offer.
  • Estimated Monthly Premium: The cost of premiums broken down by plan and driven by how many employees are enrolled in each plan.
  • Plan Details: This button takes you to the Summary of Benefits and Coverage (SBC) for this particular plan. Learn more in our Help Center article on how to read an SBC.
  • Total Cost: The sum of all plans. You will receive an invoice from your carrier(s) instructing you to pay these invoices and when they are due. Remember, you should pay these invoices before their due date so that you don’t lose coverage.
  • View Complete Enrollment Info: This table gives you an in-depth look at your costs, broken down by employee premiums, dependent premiums, and contributions from both employee and employer. Learn more for our Help Center article that takes a deep dive into this table.
