Reset your password

Follow the steps below:

  1. Click here.
  2. Select “I forgot my password.”
  3. Type in your email address.
    • If your company uses Gusto but you’re uncertain what email address is associated with your account, click “I’m an employee and forgot my email address” instead.
  4. Click Send Link.

In just a few minutes, we'll send instructions on resetting your password to the email address.

  • Make sure to check your spam or junk folders if you don't see this email in your inbox.

Important: If you entered an email address that is not associated with a Gusto profile, no password reset email will be sent. To troubleshoot, start the process again but select “I’m an employee and forgot my email address” to obtain the email associated with your account.

Recover your email address for employees

  1. Click here.
  2. Select “I’m an employee and  forgot my email address.”
  3. Input the following:
    • Date of birth
    • Social Security Number
    • Last name
    • Last 4 Digits of the current bank account on file
  4. Click Show my account email.
  5. Once the email is retrieved, please navigate back to sign in page to either sign in or reset your password.
    • If you don't have access to the email address on your account, reach out to your company admin.

Admin's cannot reset passwords on an employee's behalf. The employee must reset the password on their own by following the instructions above. 

If the email address associated with your Gusto account is now inactive, the company administrator will need to update the email address on your behalf. Reach out to the company directly to get this taken care of.
