Claim the Federal R&D Tax Credit in real time
Once your accountant has set you up to claim the Federal R&D Tax Credit, you have the option to claim the credit against your employer Social Security taxes in real time.
Option 1: Upgrade when you process payroll
- Begin to run your regular payroll until you've reached the Review and Submit screen.
- Click the Learn more link located in the prompt at the bottom of the screen.
- If you agree to the monthly fee and Terms and Conditions, click Upgrade Now.
- Your payroll will now be updated with the applicable portion of your credit being taken out.
- Click Submit Payroll to finishing running payroll.
Option 2: Upgrade from your Settings tab
- Click Settings.
- Navigate to the Customization tab.
- Under Toppings, Click edit next to Real Time Federal R&D Tax Credit.
- Toggle to Enable.
- Click Save.
You will see the R&D Tax Credit savings on the next payroll you process.
You will be charged $100/month in any month in which you claim the R&D Tax Credit.
If you do not wish to take the R&D Tax Credit in real time anymore, you may cancel at any time by contacting our Customer Care team.
