Gusto Cashout disqualification

If the employer or employee meet any of the disqualification criteria at any time, they will be removed from the benefit.

  • This is not an exhaustive list of disqualification criteria, as Gusto has proprietary criteria for Cashout.

Some examples of disqualification criteria include:

  • The employee or employer moves to a non-supported state.
    • For a list of states that Cashout is not available, please reference this article.
  • The employee or employer no longer has an active Gusto account.
  • The employee has an unpaid Cashout balance for more than 30 days.
  • The employee no longer receives direct deposit.

Both Sunrise Banks, N.A. and Gusto, which services the Cashout loans issued by Sunrise Banks, N.A. reserve the right to disqualify individual employees or employers at their discretion.

For privacy and regulatory reasons, information about an individual’s Cashout (including whether they are disqualified) can only be discussed with that individual and cannot be discussed with administrators, employers, or managers within a company.
