You may have more than one Gusto profile associated with a single email address, like an employee account, contractor account, and administrator account. You can also have one email address associated with multiple companies.
Important: If you’re looking for something in Gusto and can’t find it, make sure you’re in the right account.
Note: At this time, accounting firm profiles cannot be merged. Firm members who work for multiple firms need to have separate emails associated with each firm.
Employee account: View your pay stubs, manage your info, enroll in benefits, and more.
Note: Admins need to give you access to Gusto before you can view your account—check your email inbox for a Gusto welcome email, or reach out to your employer to see if they've added your email address to your profile.
Admin account: Perform any company-level functions that you have permissions for, like running payroll or generating reports about your team.
If you use a different email to sign in to your other accounts, sign out, then sign back in with the email and password you use for the company you want to view in Gusto.
To switch between accounts:
In the top right, click your profile.
Click Switch company or Switch to employee (or contractor) profile.
If you do not see these options and have another Gusto account, it was likely set up under a different email address than the one you're using. Reach out to the employer of the profile you can't find, and have them update your email address so you can switch between accounts using the same login.
Pro tip: If you use different email addresses for different accounts (and can sign in), you can update your email on both accounts so they match. This way, you can easily switch between accounts with just one login.
