The app is available on the App Store and Google Play Store. It's designed for Gusto 401(k) participants and IRA savers.
Note: You need to open and set up a Gusto IRA before you can access it in the app. Mobile enrollment for IRAs is not yet available.
At Gusto Retirement, account security is one of our top priorities. The app makes it easy to enable protective features, like biometric authentication and 2-factor authentication (2FA), to securely access your account on your mobile device.

This video shows how to use the mobile app to enroll in your 401(k).
The mobile app makes it easy to access your 401(k) dashboard on the go. But you can also do everything in the web version of your Gusto Retirement dashboard. You can continue to manage and monitor your account even if you choose not to download the app.
There are a few reasons you may not be able to sign in to the app.
To set up a Gusto 401(k), you need to access the welcome email to claim your account. You can then finish the account setup process either in the mobile app or via the enrollment link in that email.
For a Gusto IRA, you need to open and set up your account first before accessing it in the app. You will not have access to a Gusto Retirement account until this step is done.
If you are having issues with your password, select Forgot password? on the sign-in page of the mobile app. You can also reset your password on the desktop version.
If you are having trouble with 2FA, check out our troubleshooting tips.
As we release new features and updates, new versions of the mobile app become available. If you cannot access the current app, visit the App Store or Google Play Store to confirm it is up to date. If not, try downloading the newest version and signing in again.
If you have tried the steps above and still cannot access your account through the app, contact Retirement Support. To speed up the resolution process, include the information listed in the “Report a bug or issue” section below.
If you think you may be experiencing an error or bug in the Gusto Retirement mobile app, check the troubleshooting steps above first. If you are still having trouble, you can report the issue to our Retirement Support team.
To help us investigate, provide the following details when you contact support:
Your Gusto Retirement account ID — in the mobile app, go to the Profile tab. On the web or desktop version, learn how to find your account ID here.
A description of the issue — explain what is happening and where in the app the issue is located.
Screenshots or screen recordings — if possible, include visuals that show the issue.
Your phone's make and model — the type of phone you have (for example, iPhone 14 Pro Max, Samsung Galaxy A32, Google Pixel 4 XL).
Your phone's operating system and version — for example, iOS 26.4 or Android 16. Here is how to find this info on your iPhone or Android.
Your app version — by providing the version number (for example, Version 1.0.1), we can better pinpoint certain issues. To find your app version:
iPhone: go to Settings > General > iPhone Storage. A list of your apps will appear. Select the Gusto Retirement app from the list. The version number is listed under the app title.
Android: go to Settings, then Apps and notifications or Apps, then See all apps (if needed). Find and select the Gusto Retirement app in the list.
If you have feedback about the app, we would love to hear from you. Send our support team a note, or let others know what you think by leaving a review on the App Store or Google Play Store.
