The Gusto mobile app helps onboarded domestic contractors view their pay information, track time (for hourly contractors), access tax documents, and manage account settings right from your mobile device.
The mobile app works on iPhone (iOS®) and Android™ phones. Download it from the App Store® or Google Play® store and sign in with your Gusto account to get started.
Note: You need to complete your Gusto onboarding to access the mobile app. If you have not finished onboarding, complete it on the web at gusto.com first, then return to the app.
International contractors do not currently have access to the Gusto mobile app. Continue to use gusto.com on the web.
Employers can run payroll and manage contractors in the mobile app. Learn more about the employer mobile experience.
The Pay tab is available to all onboarded contractors. Here you can:
View your payment history: Tap Show pay history to see a list of your payments, including the date, amount, and status for each one.
View and download payment statements: Tap any payment to view details and download a PDF.
Update direct deposit information: Tap Edit payment split to update how and where your payments are deposited.
Split payments across bank accounts: Add multiple bank accounts and set the percentage or dollar amount for each.
If you cannot find a specific payment, contact your Gusto administrator—they manage your payment details.
There are no fees for getting payments through Gusto via direct deposit. Your bank may have its own policies—check with them for any account-related fees. Instant transfer and On-Demand Pay options are not currently available to contractors.
If your Gusto administrator has enabled time tracking for you and you're paid at an hourly rate, you'll see a Time tab in the app. Here you can:
Clock in and clock out (if enabled by your administrator)
View your shift history by week
Add or edit hours manually
If you do not see the Time tab, your Gusto administrator may not have time tracking enabled for your account. If you are a fixed-rate contractor, you will not have access to time tracking. Reach out to your Gusto administrator for more information.
If your employer uses Gusto Scheduling, your schedule appears in the app based on your settings:
If time tracking is enable,d your schedule is in the Time tab.
If you have Scheduling only, your schedule is in the Pay tab.
The Benefits tab shows the Benefits Store for Individuals, where you can explore and enroll in individual health and financial benefits (like health insurance options, financial wellness tools, and more). Employer-sponsored benefits like company medical plans or 401(k) are not available to contractors.
All insurance products and services offered through Gusto Insurance Services, LLC (CA Lic # 0K28399).
