This article is for admins who need to authorize Gusto’s Automated Clearing House (ACH) debit codes with their bank.
Some banks need you to approve Gusto's ACH codes before we can debit your account. This can happen after a bank error, like a blocked transaction, a missing account approval, or a security hold.
You may need to share Gusto’s ACH codes with your bank if:
Your bank blocked a payment due to a missing authorization.
Your bank added new security or fraud rules.
Your account is on a temporary hold.
We got a returned payment.
Check with your bank to find out if this applies to you. Each bank has its own process.
To share Gusto’s ACH codes with your bank:
Log in to your online banking account.
Look for a way to approve or “whitelist” ACH debits.
If needed, call or email your bank’s Customer support for help.
Give them the ACH codes to approve Gusto debits.
