This article is for hiring team members who need to review applicants and fill out scorecards in Gusto Recruiting.
Gusto Recruiting is included with Plus and Premium plans. Admins can upgrade at any time.
If an admin adds you as a hiring team member for an open role, we email you to let you know.
As a hiring team member, you get email notifications at key points in the hiring process. You can also access the Recruiting dashboard directly in Gusto.
We notify you by email when:
A new applicant applies.
You need to complete a scorecard.
To access the Recruiting dashboard in your profile:
In the left menu, click Recruiting.
Click the job post title.
If you need to take an action you do not have access to (like removing a job post), contact your admin.
As a hiring team manager, you can view applicants, leave comments, and move candidates through hiring stages.
To view an applicant as the hiring manager:
In the left menu, click Recruiting.
Click the job post title.
Click the applicant’s name.
To leave a comment, enter your comment on the right side of the page.
Click Save comment. Comments save to the application and are visible to:

To move a candidate to a new stage:
Click the dropdown next to Move stage.
Choose a stage:
Interviewing: Hiring team members can submit scorecards. We email the hiring team to remind them to complete scorecards.
After moving a candidate to Interviewing, the hiring team can set the status to Not hired or Dropped out. Only admins can move a candidate to Hired.
Not interviewed
Dropped out: If the status changes to Dropped out, we do not contact the applicant.
Hiring managers can fill out a scorecard after moving a candidate to the Interviewing stage. You can edit your scorecard until the candidate leaves the Interviewing stage.

To complete a scorecard as the hiring manager:
In the left menu, click Recruiting.
Click the job post title.
Click the applicant’s name.
Review their information, then click Move stage to make sure Interviewing is selected.
Next to your name, click Fill out scorecard. Enter your feedback.
Select a recommendation:
Strong no
No
Yes
Strong yes
Click Submit.
As a hiring manager, you can review the details of any job post at any time. If the job post has not attracted any applicants yet, go to Distribution to view ways we can help promote it.
To view job post details as a hiring manager:
In the left menu, click Recruiting.
Click the job post title.
Click Details.
View the details of the job post, like:

Location
Overview
Description
Salary range
