How can we help?

Gusto Cash Accounts

Gusto Cash Accounts for employees are included for free with your Gusto subscription. These free, high-interest1 accounts are designed to help employees save automatically and spend confidently.

Employees manage their money with up to six Cash Accounts: five personalized savings goals, and a spending account. Cash can be instantly transferred between these accounts at any time.

Cash Accounts earn 8x1 more interest than the national average (APY of 0.34%). There are no hidden fees: no account fees, transfer fees, or minimum balance fees, and no restrictions on how frequently funds can be withdrawn or deposited to an account2. Cash Accounts are FDIC insured3 for up to $250,000.

Offering Gusto Cash Accounts to your employees does not require any ongoing work, and has no impact on your payroll schedule, bookkeeping, or taxes. Employers are not responsible for anything beyond their normal day-to-day people operations.

Spending account and debit card

The spending account works like a traditional checking account, but better. No hidden fees2, and 0.34% APY means employees can hold on to more of their hard-earned paycheck, and put it to work. Your employees can set up direct deposit or link to any external bank account to move funds. With the linked, tap-to-pay debit card, an employee has access to their money with unlimited cash withdrawals at over 32,000 fee-free ATMs.

Savings goals

Savings goals enable employees who are paid through Gusto to automatically save from every paycheck. When an employee creates their Gusto account, they’ll be able to set default savings amounts for up to five different, customizable goals. And on payday, the amounts get automatically transferred to the right goals. Each savings goal has a unique bank account number for easy transfers to external accounts or for bill pay.
