For any changes domestic contractors cannot make on their own, employers must help. International contractors also must work with the employer to make updates to personal information after international-onboarding.
If you haven't already, you'll need to add the domestic contractor to Gusto before making any updates.
If you're a Gusto admin with the required permissions, you can edit a contractor's:
- Social Security number (SSN)
- Employer Identification number (EIN)
- Name
- Mailing address
You can also dismiss a contractor—to edit information for previously dismissed contractors, you'll first need to head to their dismissed/inactive profile.
