Priority support, Premium support, and HR services
This article is for admins who want to learn about Priority support and HR Resources.
Premium includes Premium support, through your Premium Account Partner, and HR Resources. Simple and Plus customers can purchase Priority support as a paid add-on.
The HR Resources add-on is closed to new purchases as of Sep 15, 2026. If you already have it, you keep it. To get HR Resources now, upgrade to Premium.

The Premium plan includes both Priority support and HR services.
You can add Priority support to your Simple or Plus plan at any time. We stopped selling HR Resources as a new add-on on Simple or Plus after October 1, 2026 — it's included with Premium. If you already had the HR Resources add-on before that date, you can keep it on your Simple or Plus plan.
Priority support: $30/month base + $3/per person (employees and contractors) per month
HR Resources: $50/month base + $5/per person (employees and contractors) per month, for existing add-on customers only
HR services access: Primary admins, Full Access admins, and HR and onboarding admins with HR Resources permission get portal access after you upgrade.
Note: You can change your plan once a month. When you upgrade, you get access to your new features right away, and we apply the new price to your current bill.
To upgrade to Premium, follow these steps.
Click your company name in the left menu, then click Plan & billing under Settings.
Click Change plan.
On the Plans tab, find Premium, then click Choose plan.
Follow the on-screen steps to confirm your new plan.
To add Priority support as an add-on to your Simple or Plus plan, follow these steps.
Click your company name in the left menu, then click Plan & billing under Settings.
Click Get add-ons.
On the Add-ons tab, find Priority Support, then click Add to plan.
Follow the on-screen steps to confirm.
Priority support gives you faster access to skilled experts in Payroll and Benefits. You can ask questions about Gusto, from payroll runs to benefits setup, and get help quickly from our Customer support team.
Premium Account Support: Serviced by a Premium Account Partner, formerly known as a Dedicated Service Advisor, who knows your business end-to-end and helps resolve issues.

How to contact support
To contact Priority support, follow these steps:
Sign in to Gusto and click the help icon
in the top-right corner of the page. If you’re on the Premium plan, you’ll see Connect with your Premium Account Partner’s name, with options to send them a message, schedule a meeting, send an email, or call. If they’re unavailable, you can leave a voicemail or connect with another Premium Account Partner.
For help with something else, tell us about your issue and follow the prompts.
If you get stuck using the AI assistant, ask to “speak with a human.”
You can also click your name in the top-right corner, then click Help, to see the full help page. Find your Premium Account Partner under Need to get in touch?, along with common actions and your support ticket status.

HR Resources gives you personalized HR guidance and tools built directly into Gusto, so you can handle hiring, policies, and compliance with confidence. There is no separate sign-in and no third-party portal.

To access HR Resources:
Go to People, then HR Resources.
Choose the tool you need.

If you get stuck, try these steps (based on your issue):
Cannot find HR Resources: Confirm your admin role and that you have HR Resources permission.
Upgraded but still cannot access: Sign out and sign back in to Gusto. Contact Priority support if the issue continues. To contact us, click the help icon
in the top-right corner of the page.On the Simple or Plus plan, and cannot find these features: Make sure the add-on is active, or upgrade to the Premium plan.
Q: If I upgrade today, can I get HR guidance right away?
A: Yes. Primary admins, Full Access admins, and HR and onboarding admins with HR Resources permission get access immediately after you upgrade.
Q: Can I get a sample employee handbook before I upgrade?
A: No. The Employee Handbook tool builds your handbook from your state, employee count, and the choices you make as an admin. Because every handbook is different, we cannot supply a single sample.
Q: I received a form from the state (unemployment, disability, etc.). Will an HR Expert fill it out for me?
A: No. HR Experts provide advice and guidance. They do not complete forms on your company's behalf.
Q: Is Priority support the same as the Business Compliance concierge team?
A: No, they're separate. The concierge team comes with Gusto Business Compliance. It helps with your state registrations, annual reports, and government mail.
